September 13, 1944 Retired Married 3
I am retired and live in the foothils above Golden.  I volunteer and American Mountain Club and the Golden History Museum.  I spend a lot of time in the early evening reading and watching birds.  I also have a nice woodworking shop that I enjoy making various gadgets.
I walk for an hour every morning and see a lot of wildlife. And in my spare time we enjoy taking mountain drives to see Colorado's beautiful scenery.

July 27, 1944 financial advisor and portfolio manager Married 4

Hi Fellow Granitians-  Can you believe it has been 50 years?  Many thanks to the committee for their work and effort to make this happen.  After graduation I attended the U of U for one year.  Then I served an LDS mission to southern Brazil.  After my return I met and married Susan Dorius (also a Granitian ’65) and completed my education at the University of Utah in 1969.  I joined the Utah National Guard and served for 10 years, mostly active reserve.  I began my career with AT&T in Salt Lake and was later transferred to Denver, CO where we have lived for 30 years.  I retired from AT&T after 17 years and began a second career in the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch and have been there for 26 years.  I am currently a senior vice president and portfolio manager there.  I enjoy working out, playing tennis, travel, reading and working.   My passion is German cars!   I have four great kids—two daughters and two sons—and eight beautiful grandchildren with one on the way.  That’s where I like to spend my time!  I have had many leadership opportunities in the community and in the LDS church.  I look forward to seeing you all in 2012!

Wow!! A 50 year high school reunion...can you believe that?

Following high school I attended the "U" and received a degree in Home Economics/Education.  I married Rich Boden.  I taught Jr. High School and then stopped to raise 5 boys.  We moved to Southern California in 1976.

We have 20 wonderful grandchildren.  After the boys were raised I obtained a certificate in Early Childhood Education and started my own Pre-school.  I ran the pre-school for 10 years.  I also started a flower arranging business and did weddings and special events for many years.  I love to quilt.  We love Southern California and have enjoyed many wonderful Church experiences.  I currently work in the Newport Beach Temple.

September 19, 1944 Legal Administrator Married 5
Fifty years and counting...I don't think I am old enough to be part of a 50 year high school reunion.  After high school I joined the Army Reserves and after one year at the "U" I served an LDS mission in Scotland.  Following my mission I returned to the "U" to complete my degree in Accounting.  I married Carolyn Larsen (Granite - class of 1962) and together we have raised 5 sons.  After graduation I worked for Fabtex, Fashion Fabrics, and Timber Lakes.  In 1976 we moved to Southern California to take a position as the Executive Director for Rutan & Tucker, a large law firm.  I have worked in that postion (COO and CFO) for the last 35 years.

We have enjoyed Southern California and have been active in many Church related activities.  All of our boys are now married and are scattered all across the world - Utah, Arizona, Washingotn DC, Virginia, and England.  They all have done very well in their careers and have also blessed us with 20 grandchildren.

It has been fun to read all about our fellow classmates.  Getting together next year at the reunion will be a real treat.

September 26, 1944 Retired Married
I'm at the age when one forgets.....but people tell me that I have had a good life. I have worked since I graduated, mostly in sales, which has provided me many perks.

Married to Dave Borup, a South High Cub, and has given me a wonderful life. We moved to Kanab after retirement, build a home over looking our little city. We live in the middle of the triangle, Zions, Lake Powell and the North Rim and take advantage of all the great opportunities. We golf from Page to Mesquite...don't take it serious, also travel as much as we can.

Can you believe it's been 50 years?
