Time goes by so fast--can't be 50 years.  It is great that there is going to be a reunion.  I have wonderful memories of the years at Granite--so many great friends who inspired me to try to be better.
After graduation I attended Utah State (and graduated with a degree in English Lit--can you just imagine Miss Mason?  While there I met a real farmer--from Bear Lake.  We have been married for 47 amazing years and have 1 son and 5 daughters and 17 grandchildren (who are exceptional).  For the last 40 years we have lived in Texas--Dallas, Fort Worth but mainly San Antonio.  During these years I was able to be an "at home mom" while Larry pursued a career in banking. Through the years we have had the opportunity to serve in various callings in the LDS  Church and are currentlly serving as missionaries in London England.  Unfortunately, since we will not return to the States until April of 2013 I will not be able to attend the  reunion--but know that I am grateful for the great times and positive examples that were set for me during our high school years.  Keep meon the active list and perhaps I will be able to attend the 60th.

H ave been active in the LDS church and my wife and I returned a couple of years ago from a mission to Cambodia. This mission was a life changing experience. Would suggest any of you to serve. We have traveled all over the world for pleasure but a mission beats all of this tralvel hands down.

We are now living in our 5th house we have built and enjoying our retirement years in Lehi Utah. Have a great fishing boat and love to fish. Just returned from a week in Alaska fishing and WOW what a state.
Looking forward to our 50th wedding aniversary in 2 years.

Married to classmate Buck Stauffer (deceased)Gosh, are we really that old?!! Well, at least none of us can lie about our age! I have 4 children - 2 girls and 2 boys. 7 terrific grandchildren. I worked at University of Utah for 22 years as a counselor in the Financial Aid and Scholarship office. Believe me, I have heard every sad story! Retired from the U 8 years ago and have loved every day of retirement.  I get to do the things I love - reading, sewing, decorating my house, playing with grandkids, going on cruises.  Life is great!  Can't wait for the reunion.  Should be a blast from the past! August 13, 1944 Admin. Asst. RETIRED Divorced 2
I have not been to a reunion so I am excited about this 50th.  Wow, we are all in our late 60's, hard to believe.

After high school I went to Stevens Henager Business College, learned IBM Key Punch, never did use it, but I was an excellent typist. Worked at Travelers Ins., married in 1968, had my two kids, Ryan and Krisha. While married to Ray we lived in Chama, New Mexico for a short period.  He was a heavy equipment operator, and we also lived in Buena Vista, Colorado where I  had my daughter in Salida CO.  Divorced in 1974 and  married again in 1975, divorced in 1981.  Bought my little house in Taylorsville in 1982, raised my kids, worked, played and laughed a lot. In 1983 I won a little 4WD Toyota Tersel Wagon for three years from, KALL radio, Tom Barbari.  Every 8,000 miles on the car I would go in to Wagstaff Toyota and get a brand new one. I had five new cars in three years. How is that for FUN!  I've lived in my house here in Taylorsville for 30 years. Worked at the Church Office, ZCMI Center Mall Office, Advantage Sales and Marketing, Workers Compensation Fund (legal department).

I loved working in my yard, golfing, camping and traveling. Made a lot of sweaters and afgans, knitting and crocheting. I read a lot (love my Nook) sitting out on my deck. I hang out with my four beautiful granddaughters and laugh a lot. My 18 year old grandson doesn't seem to want to be with gram much any more. I lost a beautiful granddaughter to SIDS at five wks. in 2000.

On the whole I have had a very good life, though not without trials, but I'm very, very happy.

Retired Married 2
50 incredible years - where has it all gone.  One day we were all 18 year old kids getting our diplomas and now we are retired.  We have two children and three grandchildern  I've had a wonderful career.  I worked for Mountain Bell - U.S. West - and then retired from Qwest after 30 years of service., as a Director of Operations. They made me a wonderful offer I couldn't refused.  I was only 45 - took some well deserved time off and traveled with my wife Vickie all over Mexico, the U.S. and Europe.  I finally decided I was too young to retire and took a position as Director of Buildings and Grounds in Navajo County, Arizona.  We lived in a beauiful part of Arizona - Show Low, in the mountains, along with the seasons...Reminded me of Utah. I retired from Navajo County in 2002, after 12 years of service.  We moved to Texas in 2006 to be closer to family and our grandchildren.  We love to travel and keep busy with many activities  Love retirement.  See you all next year.  Send Steven a MessageSend Steven a Message
