Widowed 2
I am now a widow, I have been married more than once.  My husband died Feb. 1, 2007.  I have lived in Salt Lake most of my life.  For 14 years I lived in Price.  I have two children, Larry is 48 and LaneAnn is 45.  I have three grandchildren who live in Centreville, Maryland.  Linsey is 21, Nicholas is 16 and Emily is 12.
My husband and I lived in LaSal, UT.  We enjoyed camping and riding 4-wheelers.  That’s where we lived for five months, then he died of Staph infection.
After LaneAnn married and moved to Maryland, I went to Maryland to visit every year.  That is where my grandchildren  were born.  When I was there we went to Washington DC, Lancaster, PA and many other places.  I loved the beautiful country but the humidity was awful.
About 28 years ago I went to England with a friend who was born there.  I loved it.  I liked the food, the castles and the countryside with all the elegance of the queen and royalty.  They knew we were Americans because of our levi”s and tennis shoes.  There the woman wore dresses when they went shopping.  The little girls were all dressed in dresses and dress coats with hats to match.  When the men came into the restaurant they took off their hats and pulled the chairs out for the women.  England is beautiful, especially the flowers!
Last year in February I went to Israel.  I walked where Jesus walked.  The food is great.  They don’t have the industry we have with the pollution.  Their business is olives to make olive oil.  They have lots of fruits and vegetables.  Some of the fruit trees grow right in front of the hotels.
Jesus is my Savior and my very best friend.  I gave my life to Him 30 years ago.  He loves me all the time and never leaves or forsakes me.  In Him I have hope, and one day I will go home and live with Him forever.

I’ve been married for 48 years to Pamela Card.  We have four children, two boys and two girls.  We have 23 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  I have worked several jobs at Kennecott Copper Corp. for 47 years and retired last year.

I played 22 years of Fast Pitch Softball and went to several National Tournaments.  I made several allstar teams.  I have had both knees replaced and my shoulder repaired.  I was in a motorcycle accident… lucky to be alive!

We have been on three cruises; first to the Bahamas, second to Hawaii for 14 days, third to South America and the Antarctica for a month last January.

August 22, 1944 Retired Married 3
Since graduation, I have lived in several other cities in pursuit of making a living; Phoenix, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, and I now reside in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

I worked in the material handling industry for over 30 years, designing and engineering automated storage & material handling systems.  I retired in 2008, and do some volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.  I am still trying to master the game of golf and travel quite a bit.  I still sing and can be found performing Karaoke whenever I get a chance.

Looking back at the old days at Granite, I think fondly of my old classmates and teachers, who by the way, gave all of us a quality high school education and affected us so positively.

I definitely plan to attend the reunion and look forward to seeing all of you.
