September 04, 1944 retired Married 5
50 Years certainly seems like a time for reflection.  U of U, married at 21 (Dan Howells, Olympus '59) supporting my husband thru grad school in  Chicago never guessing we would not return to Salt Lake.  Imagine my surprise when it took 32 years to return to Utah and then to Provo!  New York followed Chicago, and the birth of our first daughter,Ventura Ca. another daughter, while in some ways living in a parralell universe with my husband pursuing the corporate ladder and I  finding my way around a new town.  Where was GPS in the 70's? Arlington, Texas and two more girls, Newhall California and our last daughter. Back to Chicago where my husband was CEO /Pres. of Six Flags Corp. On to Maryland with the Marriott Corp.  Bethlehem, PA.  and then back to Utah with an unexpected turn of events. Now retired we stay busy.. Dan sits on boards at UVU, the Polynesian Cultural Center (I get to be involved) and we presently serve at Aspen Grove as the Sunday Service Leaders. Our 5 dauthers had the good sense to give their Dad 10 grandsons and 2 grandaughters. If there are regrets it's that living away has made it difficult to nurture 'old' high school friends. Life has been good and never boring. Send Linda a MessageSend Linda a Message

June 21, 1944 Pilot Married 4
Following graduation,  I enlisted in the Air Force and went to electronics training in Mississippi. (1962 was an interesting time to be in the south)
Two years later, I received a congressional appointment to the Air Force Academy, and graduated in 1968.  Following a year at pilot training I went to Viet Nam from Nov 1969  to Nov 1970; I can attest that getting shot up is tolerable as long as you don't get shot down.  The following years of my career were very rewarding with flying assignments in Washington, Arizona, Peru, and the Pentagon.  Assignments included flying trainers, fighters, transports, tankers, bombers and desks.  Retiring from the Air Force in 1986 we moved back to Arizona to raise our children and, in 1987, I began my second flying career as an airline pilot for America West/US Air.  Upon reaching the magical age 60, I reluctantly retired again in 2004 and have since concentrated on honing my skills at Alaskan fishing, skiing, golfing, traveling on the "company" plane, and making sawdust in my woodshop.
In 1972, I married Isabella Moncrieff, a "bonnie lassie" from our common ancestral home of Wishaw, Scotland (long story).  We have 4 wonderful children who have presented us with 5 granddaughters and counting.
We now reside in Spokane, Washington where we spend most of our day chasing the turkeys, deer, moose, and other wildlife out of the flower beds.
The grass is green, the sky is blue, and life is good.

May 23, 1944 Being a Grandma Married 6

After leaving Granite mid year of my Junior year, I moved to California; however, so homesick for Granite, I came back and finished the remainder of my junior year.  Even though, graduating from a school in Calif., I will always love best the years at Granite!  I especially loved pep club!  I married my sweetheart, Joe Ingoglia in 1964, when I was just barely 20, and recently celebrated our 48th Anniversary!   Joe joined the church after 10 years of marriage.  We were sealed a year later in the Oakland LDS Temple on our 11th Wedding Anniversary.  While living in San Carlos, Calif. Bay Area, we had 4 daughters and moved to Paradise Calif, 7 months pregnant with my 5th child (Joey) to Paradise, Calif.  Wanting a brother for Joey, Deborah, #6 was also born in Paradise:)  My husband has been a retired electrician for the last 6 yrs.  We are active in the Mormon church in various callings, love to visit our 14 grandchildren (and one on the way) to babysit or to attend important events, such as births, blessings, baptisms, and someday, marriages. Our kids, live all over the country-Deerfield, Chicago, Holladay, Utah, Mesa, Arizona (our cute son, a dentist, looking for a wife?), San Dielgo, Ca, Laguna Hills, Ca. with our oldest daughter and her family (2 boys-19 & 23) in Paradise.   We have enjoyed traveling in our younger years, fishing still, and I add, I love genealogy, temple work, family photography.  We have been blessed with a wonderful family and are close to each other.  I love how our kids are each others best friends.  We are coming with my cousin Ken Clifford, who married Colleen Edgington from our class.  We have a good time traveling together!   See you there!
