August 21, 1943 Sales-Retired Married 5

It took a sleuth like Joyce to find me, but here we are near Seattle, Washington.

I met and married my eyes, my green-eyed Amy in 1968.  We have lived in Salem, Oregon, and Montrose and Leadville Colorado.

While in Colorado we climbed a nearly 14k mountain and hiked the Grand Canyon.

About 20 years ago we moved to the Seattle area.  We truly enjoy the Northwest. Amy and I  like visiting the seaside towns on the Oregon and Washington coast.

It took us four boys to get there, but our fifth child was a girl.  We are so proud of our children and their fine marriages.

We have almost seven grandchildren  We are so grateful for the life we have.

A life changer for me has been the computer.  Speech and Braille output have leveled the playing field for blind and otherwise handicapped people immensely.

I'm so glad to hear about the 50-year reunion.  I learned about it very recently.

My senior year at Granite was also an adjustment to total blindness.  I so appreciate Bev Moss and my other "people guides".  I remember too, Claudia Farrer, who walked with me to receive our diplomas.  I will be thinking about fellow graduates at reunion time.

Nice to look back and recall where the wonderful ride began!

Thanks for the memories.   So nicely done!

Divorced 3
I attended college for two years and later one year of business college.  In 1965 I moved to Huntington Beach, CA and later to San Diego, CA.  Then in 1972 I moved to Reno, NV.  I began my professional career as a legal secretary and later I managed two businesses.  I became a beauty advisor for Lancôme Cosmetics.  Throughout the years I worked as a model in Utah, New York, California and Nevada, doing runway, photos, magazines and billboards.  I retired at age 62.
I love to travel and have had the privilege of visiting such places as Rome, Paris and Martha's Vineyard.  These are my favorites but there are so many more places I would love to see.
I have three beautiful daughters and six precious grandchildren, (three boys and three girls).
I remember all the fun and silly things we did at Granite High and look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

March 08, 1944 Retired Married 4
50 years can't be here so soon, I'm just getting started. It took me 3 tries to get this marriage thing down. I am now with my best friend, soul mate and wife, Jessie Allphin. I have 4 children, 11 grand children, 4 great grand children of my own. Jessie has 3 children and 2 grand children. I started early and she started late. My youngest is older than her oldest, and Jessie is older than I am. We've been married 13 short years. We are retired and enjoy traveling. We full time RVed for 4 years and then put down roots in Provo several years ago. Send Gordon a MessageSend Gordon a Message

owner/manager Carmelle Reception Center carmellerc@gmail.com Married 6

After graduating from high school I attended the University of Utah.  At the age of 21 I was called to serve a mission in Germany.  I served in three different missions, Bavaria, Berlin and Hamburg.  I had 5 mission presidents and at that time it was a 27 month mission.

Upon returning home I graduated in business education.  I met Douglas Fisher and we were married in the Salt Lake Temple. We have 6 children, 4 boys and 2 girls.  The joy of our life is our 26 grandchildren, they are the greatest.

We served 3 inter-city missions which lasted 7 1/2 years.  This was a great learning experience that we really enjoyed.

We built the Carmelle Reception Center and that is where I spend a lot of time.  It has been a great family adventure.

I will not be to the reunion because I leave on May 28 to serve a mission with my husband in the Canada, Calgary mission for l8 months.  This is something we have planned for since we were married 44 years ago and it is going to be great.

September 22, 1943 retired Admin. Assistant Married 3

I live out in the country in West Point UT with my husband Gary (Granite, Class of 1958), my dog, and my cat.  We have a large beautiful yard and our family all live close by.  I have 3 wonderful daughters, 2 son-in-laws, and 7 grandchildren (5 boys, 2 girls - 1 married, 1 engaged, 1 on a mission in North Carolina)  that I enjoy very much (oh, I just became a great grandma on Feb. 13, 2012!).  I have done a lot of humanitarian work over the years.  I am presently working part time transcribing a book about Mormon cowboys and their lifestyles.  I love to paint and draw and zentangle and I also love working in my yard, knitting, sewing, crocheting, and doing ribbon and brazilian embroidery.  I tremendously enjoy the Internet and have met many wonderful artisans around the world who share my passion for creativity.  The one person I wanted most to contact from high school is my dear friend Shannon Hartman Richards. Thanks to Ken Burton and Rick Rowsell, I accomplished that goal!  She will be coming to the Reunion and staying with me.  So excited to see you all again.  Had lunch with Toni Lee O., Joyce Rabiger, Pat Bradford, Judy Chapman, and Mary Jane Peterson.  Was lots of fun.  Why go to a class reunion with people you can barely remember?  Surprising the joy you feel when you connect with the past with people who share the same memories.  Can't believe that I am 68 years old.  My heart and spirit say I'm still 19!
